Minutes from the February 1, 2010 Board Meeting

The Milford Board Meeting was held on Monday, Feb, 2010 via conference call.  The meeting was called to order by President Kim McCall at 7:03 PM.

The agenda was as follows:

The following board members were present:

Kim McCall, President

Shaunta Cooke, Girls Athletic Director (Cheer Director)

Kim Holmes, Girls Equipment Manager (Assistant Cheer Director)

Timisha Colyar, Secretary

Nichole Williams, Treasurer

Tony Brown, Web Master

Lawrence Shadd, Boys Athletic Director

The following board members were absent:

Rudy Sims, Equipment Manager

James Howell, Cobb County Parks & Recreation

1. New Business

A. Amended

President McCall asked that we vote to amend Article IV Section C of the bylaws. Nichole Williams offered a motion to amend the bylaws.  Shaunta Cooke seconded the motion.   Article IV of the Constitution & Bylaws was voted on by the board and passed 4-0 without any opposition. The new amended Bylaws were posted on the website by Tony Brown (Web Master).  The bylaws were amended to read as follows:

C.  Any Board Member that is expelled from a position shall no longer be able to hold a Board position with the Milford Youth Organization, Inc.

1.  Expulsion:  Board voted removal.

2.  Resignation:  Written notification subject to Board acceptance.

• Any Board Member that submits a written notification of resignation that is accepted by the Board will have an opportunity to apply for an open position for the next football year.

B. Board Member Selection

Kim Bouie was the only person to show interest in the Concession Stand Manager position.  Nichole Williams offered a motion to elect her Concession Stand Manager.  Shaunta Cooke seconded the motion.  The board voted and it was passed by a vote of 3-1, being opposed by Lawrence Shadd. Kenny Holmes was the only person that showed interest in the Vice President position. Nichole Williams offered a motion to elect him Vice-President.  Shaunta Cooke seconded the motion.  It was voted on and passed3-1, being opposed by Lawrence Shadd.

1. Next Meeting Date:

The next board meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 2:30-4:45 at South Cobb Library on Clay Road.
