This year, the Milford Youth Organization is partnering with the Atlanta Falcons as part of our annual fundraising efforts.

We now have $39 ATLANTA FALCONS FOOTBALL TICKETS for the September 19th game vs the Arizona Cardinals. Each player is asked to sell 3 tickets and return all funds in by Monday September 13th.

Each game was filled with excitement and emotion as players and coaches played against one of the most competitive parks in our area. McEachern Jamboree is Saturday Aug 21st

This year, we will be participating in the McEachern Youth Football Jamboree that is scheduled for Saturday. The format of this preseason game is a little different than what some of you may be used to. The teams will actually play two 30 minute timed halves from the 50 yard field. Teams may play a totally different team in the second half of the game.

Games will be held at Wild Horse Creek Park located at 3820 Macedonia Road in Powder Springs.

Equipment Issue Schedule

This weekend, we’ll be issuing equipment on the following dates and times. We ask that you bring with you your refundable $200 equipment deposit in the form of a check. This check will be returned to you when you turn in your equipment at the end of the season. If you have an outstanding balance then equipment will not be issue until the balance is paid.

Saturday July 24th
9 Year Old Team – 11am – 12pm
10 Year Old Team – 12:15pm – 1:15pm
11/12 Year Old Team – 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Sunday July 25th
5/6 Year Old Team – 4pm – 5pm
7 Year Old Team – 5:15pm – 6:15pm
8 Year Old Team – 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Uniform Fitting for Newest Players
If your child has not been fitted for his uniform, we ask that you make arrangements to have this done immediately. It is imperative that we get your child’s uniform size as soon as possible so that we can order his uniform delivered in time for the first game.

Don’t forget to register your child for the Milford Warriors summer football camp which will be held July 19th through July 22nd. The cost is $25 per player which includes a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Please stop by the registration tent each Saturday from 11am – 2pm to sign up. Or, you may also register during one of the remaining two Sunday conditioning camp.

There are only 1 Sunday summer conditioning session remaining. The children have been very responsive to the training and we appreciate the parents that have beared the sun and heat right along with the kids. This has been an incredible journey and we thank you for the opportunity to help condition these kids.

Fittings for Football Pants

DThe 8-12 year old teams will get fitted for their jerseys and pants on Wednesday, June 30th during the hours of 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Fittings will also be done on Sunday, June 27th during the conditioning campm

Cheerleading Camp Begins July 20th

Be sure to register your daughter for this year’s cheerleading camp which runs from July 20th-24th. The cost of the camp will only be $25 and runs for one-week from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

The Milford Board Meeting was held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the South Cobb Library. The meeting was called to order by President Kim McCall at 6:30 PM.

The agenda was as follows:

4. Old Business

Please make sure that the day of registration all tables, chairs, and items to be sold are set up before 11am. Early registration will be extended to this weekend and thereafter the fee will increase to $200. Make sure the parents initial the page where it states that there will be no refunds.

5. New Business

1. Tony Brown will send out an email announcing the new prices and camp dates.
2. Nichole will email everyone that has paid and include a handbook.
3. An email address will be added to the spread sheet, because it’s easier to communicate with the parents this way.

6. Board Comments

Kenny Holmes will continue to shop around for the best prices regarding refurbished and new helmets. He has a couple of quotes, but nothing was voted on yet.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:37pm.

New Dates for Youth Football Conditioning Camp

We understand the importance of conditioning for youth football in Cobb County, Georgia. That’s why we’re scheduling a bi-weekly football conditioning camp for the Milford Warriors Youth Football teams. If you’re looking for something for your child to do this summer, we’re inviting you to participate in this great instructional session for playing all offensive and defensive positions, as well as special teams. The cornerstone of a good football team is having players that are in shape and physically ready for action.

And it’s absolutely FREE!

We meet at Hurt Road Park 5pm to 7pm where the kids participate in our summer football conditioning camp.

Early Registration Starts April 17th

If you’re interested in Cobb County Youth Football then get ready to take advantage of early registration discounts that will begin on Saturday April 17th. For a limited time only, you’ll be able to register your child for our football program or cheerleading program for $175 and $225 respectively. Prior year players will receive an additional $25 discount through May 31st.

We’re also offering payment plans where you can submit a small deposit to lock in your discount price.
